The Source-to-Pay (S2P) Manila Data Quality and Analytics Team leverages data analytics to provide solutions across Chevron. The team focuses on three main areas:
Data Quality: Leading efforts to improve the quality of finance and procurement master and transactional data across all Chevron locations in support of spend reporting and efficient/compliant transacting.
Data Analytics: Addressing invoice exceptions identified through focused analytics and random sampling.
Business Analytics: Providing analysis to enable data-driven decisions while building fluency across the organization.
The Lead Data Analyst works closely with others in the Data Quality and Analytics Team as well as customers and suppliers from each business unit around the globe. This analyst serves as a champion for Data Analytics within S2P Manila.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Serve as Data Analytics champion and subject matter expert for S2P Manila
Drive implementation of Digital/Data Analytics strategy including building organizational capability related to digital and analytical skills
Enable internal and external teams to obtain required data, conduct analysis, and address any errors and associated root causes in support of both projects and ongoing operations
Provide ad-hoc support for data-driven projects and other initiatives
Provide reliable, high-quality analytical support to enable Procurement/Supply Chain Management's ability to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage for Chevron
Utilize business analytics to deliver results in line with the strategy of the supported team
Drive continuous improvement of processes including partnering with Digital team on automation opportunities
Apply critical thinking to identify value-driven opportunities for change
Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated expertise in data analytics / visualization tools (Power BI, Spotfire)
Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), including experience creating complex Excel reports, charts, macros, and use of advanced functions
Strong spoken / written communication skills
Proven ability to prioritize and deliver multiple tasks with conflicting deadlines
Ability to act as a team player and demonstrate leadership behaviors with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance, or Business
Experience in the use of Ariba, SMART by GEP, SAP, and / or JDE
Exposure to other Data Quality / Data Analytics processes
Knowledge of Procurement and / or Finance processes
