About the Role:
You will be working in a cross-functional team, using agile methodologies to build, test and deliver cloud native applications for the financial services industry. We are looking for a true team player who can work beyond their specialty to lead the team in delivery. As lead of the Core Services team, you will be responsible for the overall delivery of the team. You will be interfacing with stakeholders in Europe and North America and some workday offset may be required.
Job Duties in Brief:
• Lead a team of engineers in all aspects of delivery
• Deliver cloud native solutions in AWS as part of a cross-functional agile team
• Develop front and back end code using React, Node, Python and Java
• Be comfortable using NoSQL and relational databases
• Participate and contribute on all team activities such as Sprint Planning, Sprint Execution, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective
• Perform reviews and ensure the quality of the team's work
• Testing: Design and implement automated unit and system testing
About You:
• Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• 4+ years of software delivery experience
• 2+ years of professional experience with React and Redux
• 2+ years of overall experience in server side Javascript such as Node
• 1+ year experience delivering solutions in AWS. CloudFormation, S3, Lambda, API gateway, DynamoDB
• 1+ year experience in Python
• Experience in responsive web design, fluid layouts and positioning, browser behavior and compatibility, cross-browser issues and solutions
• Solid understanding of HTML5, ES6, CSS3, JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks
• Experience with source code management such as GIT
• Overall experience with relational and NoSQL databases
• Experienced with Agile development methodologies; Participation in code reviews, Pair Programming, etc...
• Must be self-motivated and driven, with demonstrated knowledge and skills in: Creativity, technical analysis, problem solving, communication and client service.
• Knowledge of financial industry is highly desirable
