Provide technical leadership and guidance to the Oona Technical Team ensuring alignment withbusiness goals and objectives.- Lead the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems andinfrastructure to meet organizational needs.- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them intotechnical solutions.- Manage the technical team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation, to ensure ahigh level of expertise and professionalism.- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to inform strategicdecision-making and innovation.- Collaborate with other department heads and stakeholders to ensure alignment of IT initiativeswith organizational objectives.- Execute IT strategies to support the goals and objectives of the group project.- Lead a team of IT professionals responsible for project planning, implementation, and support.- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of IT systems and applications tosupport project activities.- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure on-time and within-budgetdelivery of IT solutions.- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors to procure IT services and products asneeded for the project.- Monitor IT project risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure projectsuccess.- Provide regular updates to project stakeholders on IT project status, milestones, and keyperformance indicators.- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and standards governing IT projectmanagement and security.- Mentor and coach IT team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, andcontinuous improvement.- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery processes and outcomes.-Foster collaboration and communication among cross-functional teams, including developers,engineers, designers, and business stakeholders.- Facilitate regular project meetings, status updates, and reviews to ensure alignment andtransparency.- Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to relevant regulations andindustry best practices.- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders on projectprogress, issues, and risks.- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery processes and outcomes.Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.- At least 10 years of proven experience as a Technical Manager / IT Leader or similar role, managing complex technical projects from initiation to closure.- Experience with Insurance business is a must.- Strong understanding of the technologies, tools, and methodologies relevant to the project. This could include software development frameworks, programming languages (databases (MSSQL/Oracle), networking.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues, propose solutions, and make data-driven decisions to keep projects on track.- Proficiency in project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or Kanban.- Ability to create project plans, set timelines, allocate resources, and track progress effectively.- Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring everyone is aligned with project objectives.- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.- Strong leadership abilities with a track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams and driving project success.- Ability to thrive in a very fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.- PMP, Scrum Master, or other relevant project management certifications are a plus.- Experience with Agile, Scrum, or other project management methodologies is highly desirable.- Proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA, Microsoft Project, or similar software- Proficiency in identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them. Thisincludes risk assessment, contingency planning, and proactive risk management throughout the project lifecycle.
