Inventory Manager

Job Description RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintaining receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing the program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
Controlling inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with the data storage system.
Checking and validating documents prepared for inventory adjustment.
Supervising staff with their daily routines.
Moving inventory by scheduling materials to be moved to and from the warehouse; coordinating inventory transfers with related departments.
Meeting operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying warehouse system improvements.
Maintaining storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements.
Keeping equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions and conducting regular equipment inspection; troubleshooting breakdowns; requiring preventive maintenance; issuing work orders for repair and requisition for replacement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor?s degree in relevant discipline
At least 3 years of experience in inventory management (>5 years of experience highly preferred)
Strong experience working for a manufacturing company and handling inventory, particularly:
Defining inventory re-order points
Forecasting and Planning
Profitability analysis
ERP expertise (preferably NetSuite)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Keen attention to details
