Qualifications:A graduate of a 4-year Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma program, preferably Import/Export, Customs Administration, Supply Chain, Transport Operations or any Business Management course.
A strong organizer, efficient worker who is detail oriented and methodical.
Willing to accept a 6-months employment contract
Ability to multi-task and prioritize a heavy workload
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Good communication skills
Ability to identify problems, demonstrate the use of initiate and implement appropriate solutions
Computer skills , essentially Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook and other customs and shipping lines systems
Understanding of AIR/SEA Import/Export documentation and procedures
Good understanding of Incoterms, Free Trade Agreements and Harmonized Tariff System
Logistics experience of main transport methods (AIR, SEA, LAND)
Detailed Tasks:
Liaising with the Warehouse, Sales and other relevant departments to determine items to order;
Request for Proforma Invoices from Overseas Suppliers;
Processing of Overseas Purchase Orders;
Placing/Communicating of orders with suppliers from overseas;
Processing of Proforma Invoice and IDF Application;
Processing of Import Documents such as SRA Certification, SPS Application and DA certification;
Preparation of Marine Insurance Covers;
Preparation of Letter of Credit and other bank documents related to all shipments, DA and DP terms;
Expediting/routing follow up on the status of goods to ensure that suppliers meet delivery deadlines;
Monitoring/tracking of incoming shipments and communicate to concern department/parties;
Liaising with clearing agents/forwarders and brokers on cargo clearance with Customs;
Expediting inspection of goods received
Expedite releasing of goods from Customs at minimum cost;
Ensuring complete and keeping of records of all import documents;
Updating of imports register and emailing consignment status reports to the MD, warehouse and sales department;
Preparation of export documents when requested by clients;
Review cost and billings of Customs, shipping companies, brokers and forwarders;
Ensure that all import and export items/products of the company has proper licenses and certification from concern government agencies e.g. FDA and CPR and import permit;
Monitor and ensure that all import/export License of the company required by the Philippine government is updated and renewed on time e.g. BIR, BOC, BAI, BPI, FDA, NMIS, SRA;
Any other duty that may be assigned by the managing director.
