Summary
The Health Safety Environmental (HSE) Manager manages the overall management, coordination, development and implementation of all HSE activities, trainings and programs to ensure a safe workplace for all workers as required by law and ensure that the company is compliant and adheres to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines, and DENR Responsibilities Ensure that the business operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all workers (employees, contractors, and visitors). Works with departments until findings are closed and documented. Provides guidance and training in all matters related to HSE. Regularly conducts site inspections to ensure compliance to proper Safety and Environmental practices). Guide, monitors, checks safety compliance of third-party contractors. Ensures company's full compliance to HSE regulatory requirements on local, regional, and international level. Manages monitoring of the plant's emergency safety equipment. To monitor/supervise the sanitation activity and program of the company including the scrap and waste management which includes the shredding and slicing operation up to the hauling To investigate all accidents and near-miss incidents and to record the findings on the relevant forms Maintains or help in the maintenance of an efficient accident record system and coordinate action taken by supervisor and heads to eliminate the cause of the accident Reports any unsafe condition and practices and recommends or suggests correction or removal of accidents hazards Requirements Preferably a graduate of Engineering or a 4/ 5 year course Minimum of 5 years Manufacturing Safety Management Experience Preferably from a manufacturing company Knowledge ofmanufacturing industry health & safety standards Must haveBasic Occupational Safety and Health Training (BOSH) certification About Knauf Knauf is one of the world's leading manufacturers of modern insulation materials, drylining systems, plasters & accessories, thermal insulation composite systems, paints, floor screed, floor systems, construction equipment and tools.
