Housekeeping Supervisor

A. Scope of the Position/sAs Housekeeping Supervisor, you will support the Housekeeping Department by ensuring the upkeep and cleanliness of the entire property including guest rooms, public areas, Food & Beverage outlets, sports facilities, back of house areas and staff facilities. Specifically, a Housekeeping Supervisor will perform the following tasks to the highest standards.B. Reporting to:1. Operations ManagerC. Specific Responsibilities1. Supervising the daily cleaning of assigned rooms, bathrooms, corridor areas, restaurant, function rooms and public areas to the highest standards. This includes changing bed linen, replacing towels, cleaning bathrooms thoroughly, vacuuming, mopping and dusting daily. Subject to levels of business the housekeeping supervisor will also be expected to service rooms.2. Responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of hotel grounds including parking area and staff facilities.3. Allocate work duties to housekeeping staff and supervise contractors.4. Ensuring the upkeep of vacant rooms.5. Perform routine inspections of all check out rooms and spot checks of all occupied rooms.6. Investigates complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment, and takes corrective action. Report and follow up on any maintenance defects or other issues.7. Routinely inspect service areas, storerooms and corridors and completes inspection reports.8. Manage and train Room Attendants and other housekeeping staff to ensure their performance is to the standards required9. Efficiently manage stock control and the maintenance of equipment.10. Provide excellent Guest service, including VIP and other special requirements11. Completion of work orders and update of the Hotel Maintenance Report on a daily basis12. Control Mini-bar balance operations.13. Conduct daily briefing for room attendants.14. Ensure that staff use equipment with care.15. Check floor pantries.16. Ensure lost and found items are turned directly in to the HR Office on a daily basis. These items are never to be left on the floor overnight.17. Exhibit a high degree of gracious hospitality and greet customers at all times.18.
