Responsibilities: Develops sound, cost-effective strategies for the purchasing of materials used in the business. Maintains relationships with suppliers while continually scouting for additional vendors. Evaluates spending operations while seeking ways to improve and enhance the quality of products purchased and the timeliness of deliveries. Communicates with management regularly regarding the efficient flow of goods and services affecting production Conducts cost analyses and setting benchmarks for improvement. Develops risk management procedures to mitigate losses in the event of product shortages. Works closely with the company legal department to make sure contracts and terms are favorable. Assists the Group CFO with Tender Committee proposals and recommendations. Performs metrics reporting and data analysis tasks to identify issues and opportunities for process improvements. Further develops and manages the Sourcing process. Partners and communicates with suppliers, IT partners and customers. Monitors forecasts to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities. Supervises a purchasing team and delegating tasks across departments when necessary. Manages HQ offices and offsite locations as necessary Qualifications 1. Bachelorâs degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis in business, supply chain or other related relevant fields;
2. 5+ years of experience in sourcing and procurement; equivalent combination of education and experience allowed
3. Lean/Six Sigma Experience preferred;
4. Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and managerial skills;
5. Ability to negotiate and get the best price and quality.
6. Manage a team of people.
