Job Objective: To provide oversight for all engineering work associated with the planning, design, and construction of stores, kiosks, or other facilities according to brand standards, the implementation of maintenance systems and environmental protection systems in the most effective and efficient manner.
Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Leadership Develop and implement a comprehensive facilities, maintenance, construction and engineering strategy aligned with the group's objectives and standards. Regularly monitor the implementation of Technical Services strategy to allow for improvements and changes as aligned to the changing organization needs. Work with the respective Brand Technical Services Leaders in developing and aligning Technical Services objectives and key performance indicators. Provide guidance to the Technical Services Leaders and its deliverable as per requirements of the business unit to support the company's business. Collaborate with the Corporate Business Development Head in developing the store expansion and renovation plan. Assemble a team to deliver top management's approved plan. 2. Design and Construction Establish a system that would monitor and evaluate the cost, quality and timeliness of construction project as it progresses. Review the evaluation rendered by Project Managers and Business Development Managers on the submitted bids to ensure validity and accuracy of the same in serving as basis for negotiation. Review and approve schematics of proposed new/renovation/relocation projects based on approved layout and budget prior to approval of President & CEO. Establish a list of accredited contractors and subcontractors to optimize benefits derived from long-term business partnerships- cost, quality, timeliness, etc. Implement a fair process in selecting contractors and subcontractors for each construction project. Monitors construction programs by conducting periodic on-site inspections of new/renovated construction projects and ensuring all construction complies with applicable building codes and regulations. Establish a system that would ensure that post construction audits are being carried out effectively and that payments are timely and made when appropriate. 3. Sustainability Management (Environment, Sanitation, Energy) Create, implement and continuously review environmental and sustainability strategies, targets and action plans that ensure corporate sustainable development. Communicate strategies and market sustainability campaigns to internal and external stakeholders ensuring that the sustainability message is clear, engaging and educational. Stay up to date with local and national regulations related to food kiosk and retail operations, health, safety and sanitation standards. Report progress on sustainability development and initiatives to the Sustainability Committee and provide recommendation plans to address gaps. Qualifications: Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Engineering or equivalent. Must have at least 10 years experience in the same industry or related fields. Must have 5 years experience as head in a mid-large sized professional organization. Experienced in managing construction projects and maintenance program for kitchen equipment is a must. In depth knowledge of the Restaurant Industry and experience in servicing multi-brands is a plus.
