Job Description Graphic Designer Scope of Work I.Background and Rationale
URC in the Philippines is implementing 3 projects, namely RenewHealth, Expanding Access on Community-Based Drug Rehabilitation; TB Platform for Sustainable Care, Detection, and Treatment; and Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARRM) Health.?
To help promote various issues concerning CBDR, TB Platform, and BARRM, it is important to develop and produce information materials to a variety of audiences in the most creative and? visually appealing manner.? The use of infographics and visually compelling messaging in communications materials to be produce by these 3 projects require hiring of a graphic designer to service the needs of all 3 URC projects.
II.STTA Objectives & DEVELIVERABLES
The URC projects in the Philippines are seeking a part-time graphic designer to assist with the activities as listed below:
Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials which will be supplied by the Communications Specialist
Conceptualize visuals, particularly infographics, based on requirements provided by the Communications Specialist
Develop illustrations, infographics, and other designs using software or by hand
Illustrates concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts based on USAID visual identity guidelines
Develop and produce PowerPoint presentations and print materials using the various visuals or infographics
Prepare rough drafts and present ideas
Obtains approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approval
Prepares final layout by marking and pasting up finished copy and art
Amend designs after feedback. Revisions will be done based on the agreed production schedule
Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and coordinates with printers if required
III.Minimum Qualification Requirements
Proven graphic designing experience, particularly in USAID or other social development projects
A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop)
A keen eye for aesthetics and details
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
IV.Period of Performance and Level of EffortS
This will be a consultancy for the period of October 1, 2020 to March 30, 2020 and should not exceed 60 days.?
V.Techincal director
The Communications Specialist for RenewHealth, TB Platform or BARMMHealth as appropriate, will accept and approve deliverables and payments.
