SUMMARY
The Graphic Artist (GA) will be responsible for the creative execution and to a certain extent provide the creative direction in the design, layout and creative formatting of a variety of projects, for both above the line and below the line advertising (including but not limited to print, brochures, posters, flyers, van wrap, light boxes, banners and other identified collaterals used externally) corporate identity and packaging. Designs will integrate typographic, photographic, illustrative and graphic elements. The GA ensures that all requested projects follow the Company’ s Corporate Guidelines faithfully. He/She does routine duties in the preparation of printing specification and to a certain extent communicate to the suppliers in so far as the execution and delivery of the project/s is concerned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Graphic Artist will effectively deliver the following tasks:
? Responsible for the creative execution and to a certain extent creative direction for both below the line and above the line advertising (print and online advertising materials, posters and banners, newsletters, e-mail blasts) corporate identity and packaging etc.
? Responds promptly to graphics requirements primarily of Sourcing and Recruitment teams to attain creative and promotional strategies developed for the recruitment of candidates for Sykes Asia
? Designs & executes graphic requirements as delegated by the Branding & Communications team
? Maintains standardized look for all internal and external Branding & Communications materials for Manila and coordinates with Cebu regarding updates
? In-charge of filing all graphic design artworks for both soft and hard copies; updating the local shared folder and the CD library on a quarterly basis
? Creates a library of images with or without copies for use in internal and external communication
? Suggests/recommends process efficiency for continuous improvement in graphic design work as seen in the updates of business process
? Ensures that needed upgrade for equipment used in designing is properly filed and coordinated with IT
? Takes up a project which is closely related to the needs/requirements of the Branding & Communications team for creative outputs
? Executes ad hoc tasks
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Graphic Artist position has no supervisory/managerial responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
? Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Advertising/Media, Art & Design or equivalent.
? Required skill(s): Photoshop (CS2 and CS3), Illustrator, Freehand, In-Design, Corel Draw & Web Page Design
? Must be familiar with Flash and Web enhancement technologies such as DHTML and JavaScript.
? Management of product branding, project management and graphics consultation
? Experience gained from advertising or marketing company is an advantage
? Preferably 3-5 yrs experience specializing in Arts/Creative/Graphics Design or equivalent.
? Can conceptualize, develop & render creative ideas
? Knowledgeable in digital imaging and print production process from compre to printing
? Web design experience a plus
