Global Service Engineer

The Engineer/Architect ensures solutions are expertly selected, designed, delivered, optimized and supported during the entire infrastructure lifecycle. In this role, he would be responsible in improving and developing our corporate IT environment through the use of best-practices IT engineering and proliferation of automation.
This role also involves project-oriented work, where collaboration with Internal Teams and vendors to implement new solutions or make improvements to the existing one is essential., collaborating with other system integrators and network architects, infrastructure engineers, and associates to plan and deliver cloud solutions such IaaS, Paas, Saas, plus other related projects that integrate or depends on Cloud and Virtualization environments.
Boundaries and Framework:

Work with vendors/Internal teams and do independent research to architect and design state of the art cloud hardware and software solutions; Storage virtualization, server virtualization technologies, software defined datacentre technologies.
Partner with Software/Dev engineers to deliver a high quality environment that is resilient, highly available and highly performing in order to give chase digital customer best experience.

Responsible to be the technical interface between the software engineers/testing teams during the plan and build phases of the environment management.

Create integration design for projects that include infrastructure details, major application flows/sequences and failover designs

Lead the development of tools/automation and documentation to enable the support organization to resolve technical issues, including complex technical scenarios dealing with the cloud architecture;

Design repeatable cloud solutions in areas like Disaster Recovery, Cloud Migration, and Web Applications, and storage replication and handle special projects and initiatives as assigned.

Knowledge and Experience:

4 Year Degree in one of the following subject areas: Computer Science, Information Technology or related field preferred

Microsoft Certification (MSCA or MCSE) Preferred

Technically competent & highly proficient in two or more infrastructure disciplines:

UNIX/Linux – AIX, Solaris, RedHat, Oracle Linux, Apache, Tomcat, Oracle WebLogin

Windows – Windows Server, Exchange, Enterprise Vault

Virtualization – VMware,Hyper-V, RedHat, Oracle

Cloud – AWS and Microsoft Azure

Databases - Oracle 11g/12c RAC, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL
