Position: Geographic Legal Counsel ManagerSalary Range: PHP150,000 - PHP250,000/month Location: Mandaluyong City & Cebu CityAs the Legal Counsel Manager with a focus on Data Privacy, you play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the Company's global Data Privacy program. Reporting to and collaborating closely with a Senior Manager in Data Privacy, you will ensure the company's adherence to contractual obligations, legal and regulatory requirements, and voluntary commitments in the field of data privacy, emphasizing the integration of company values and culture.This full-time position requires an experienced professional with expertise in privacy, digital, technology, governance, and compliance. Working in tandem with other compliance programs, legal teams, and corporate functions, your responsibilities will include:Reviewing internal and client-facing projects to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and voluntary commitments, offering guidance to other teams.Drafting and maintaining company standards and controls reflecting legal, regulatory, and policy requirements, as well as best practices.Designing, developing, and delivering global training and guidance on privacy matters, including jurisdiction-specific considerations.Supporting client-facing work, such as client assessments and contract negotiations.Providing advice to ensure data privacy considerations are integrated at the outset of new services, projects, products, and initiatives.Staying updated on technology trends and developments, delivering guidance and training for internal audiences.Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders, especially with legal, risk, information security, and business teams.Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:Demonstrated expertise in data privacy and related policies, laws, and regulations.Experience supporting a data privacy compliance program, preferably in a multinational organization.Proven ability to operationalize and implement strategy and policies.Ability to identify, understand, and assess trends and developments in data privacy, providing practical, results-focused insights.Proficiency in synthesizing complex analyses into clear and consistent recommendations.Strong decision-making skills and a high level of common sense, with the ability to anticipate risks.Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface and develop relationships at all organizational levels and across cultures.Education:Law DegreeRelevant certifications (such as in data privacy, data governance, Information Security) considered a plus.Work Experience:Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a (preferably global) data privacy function.Knowledge of data governance and data management principles, strategies, and frameworks.Experience in monitoring legal and regulatory trends, translating them into actionable requirements.Strong project management and organizational skills.At least 5 years of leadership experience.
