Everyday hundreds of customers reach out to us with some combination of urgent home repairs (“Setter, my roof is leaking!”) and home renovation projects (“We’d like to build a seating deck in our backyard”).
The Philippines Country Manager will be responsible for rapidly building out the “sales” team in the Philippines that solves these homeowner problems. Additionally, the Country Manager will train and manage this team towards sales and quality targets. By December 2020, we expect this team to be around 50 full-time employees.
As Philippines Country Manager, you will be specifically be responsible for:
- Team Hiring. An exceptional company is nothing but an amazing group of people with an audacious mission. You will be responsible for building an exceptional team.
- Bring on the first 5-10 employees yourself with light support from our internal recruiting team, before bringing on a local recruiter to assist you full-time.
- Hire nothing but the most exceptional talent.
- Team Training. Come learn the business in Toronto and then be responsible for the training of the team in the Philippines.
- Spent the initial 4 weeks in Toronto to learn the business and develop a training program (incl. associated materials and measurable and time-specific objectives) to quickly ramp new staff
- Train new staff rapidly, ensuring they are meeting objectives throughout
- Having Impact. Be accountable for the impact of our team in the Philippines.
- Depending on the role, team members will have either or both of : sales targets and quality metrics
- Be accountable for the teams metric performance ensuring that your hiring and training efforts ladder into impact
- Process Improvement. Identify opportunities for efficiency improvement and execute.
- Collect feedback from the team in the Philippines and the team in Toronto to find opportunities for process improvement
- Rapidly execute these changes to ensure impact
- Communication. Be responsible for ensuring there are systems in place to effectively communicate with the team in Toronto and San Francisco.
- Build relationships with team members across the company
- Ensure appropriate audio visual and wifi setup
