General Ledgers Accountant

Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a world leader in rapid diagnostics, with a focus on cardio metabolic disease, infectious disease and toxicology. The job is based in the Philippines.The successful candidate will perform a wide variety of accounting duties and assist in the preparation of Monthly Financial Reports, Annual Financial Statements and any other internal or external reports required.Job responsibilities:
Prepare monthly financial reports, ensuring they are completed in a timely, accurate and efficient manner
Prepare analysis and posting of journals
Produce balance sheet reconciliations
Calculate and analyze monthly accruals and prepayments, ensuring that all items are accurately captured
Review and reconcile inter-company accounts
Prepare multi-currency bank reconciliations
Provide cost information to management and other departments as required
Collaborate with external audit staff for periodic year-end review procedures and local statutory audits as required
Provide input to local finance policies and procedures, ensuring ongoing compliance for all accounting and finance operations
Participate in ongoing policy and control environment development to ensure compliance with applicable internal control regulations
Job requirements:
Accounting Qualification- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent
Third Level Degree or equivalent experience
Shared service center and multinational corporation background desirable
Oracle or other major ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) Systems experience would be an advantage
Experience with Hyperion
Audit background preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to summarize financial data
Strong computer skills, especially MS Office
