Job Description:
Ensures that relevant, accurate and timely financial reports are prepared and submitted to the Chief Operating Officer, Project Managers, Department Managers and Head of Organizational Support Division and in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles as promulgated by the Accounting Standards Council. Implement financial accounting and internal control systems to safeguard the assets and resources. Manages accounting, budgeting and fund management services. Evaluates and compares financial figures to ensure compliance with their policies, requirements of project funders/donors as well as that of regulatory bodies such as the Bureau of Internal Revenue and Securities and Exchange Commission. Implements standard costs used in the preparation of project budgets to ensure the compliance to the financial standards. Provides sound financial analysis and advise to management utilization of project and non-project funds to ensure prudent and efficient spending of funds Assists the Project Accountants in monitoring the cost position of each project Establishes strategic relationships with banks Manages relationships with external auditors by facilitating the preparation of their schedules and other requirements Manages cash advances and liquidation within required period. Plans and implements improvements, innovations and change efforts in all financial-related policies, procedures, programs, systems, manuals and memos. Manages and controls unit’s/division’s expenditures to ensure that it operates within reasonable and allowable budget. Prepares, reviews and/or approves collaterals, letters, presentations, workplans, accomplishment or activity reports and other reports that may be required by direct supervisor, funders, Project Management Team and/or the Management Committee. Uses these reports as basis for decisions and/or recommendations. Represents the department in every meetings, workshops and/or conferences with various stakeholders, partners and/or service providers to promote initiatives or interests and increase visibility. Meets, engages and develops good working relationships with various stakeholders or other company staff and departments. Minimum Qualifications:
Must a have a degree in accounting,business,finance or a any related field. Must have several years of experience in finance role Deep understanding of business principles and practices. Good communication skills both written and oral.
