High Level Job Description/Scope:
The SAP Application organization provides solution and supports the world-wide implementation of SAP, with team members working closely from San Ramon, Buenos Aires and Manila. With LEAP (Legacy ERP Assessment Program) and other high-level ERP initiatives underway, SAP Finance will be a challenging, demanding, and rewarding place to work in the next few years and the successful candidate for this position will have the opportunity to be a part of that evolution, benefiting from broad exposure to multiple Business Partners across the globe, and from learning critical business processes used throughout the enterprise.
The work involves providing SAP support and project implementation or modifications/enhancements and consultancy to business application end-users located across Chevron's global operations to ensure system integrity and quality.Key Job Responsibilities:
Performing trouble-shooting, analysis, coordination, and resolution of various types of production issues for Chevron's Global Finance functions, particularly in the areas of General Ledger, Accounts Receivable and Treasury Risk Management
Working closely with Business Partners to gather business requirements
Analyzing and understanding system capabilities
Configuring the SAP software to meet business needs or resolve issues
Working with developers to design, code and implement custom solutions
Devising, executing, and analyzing system tests to verify solutions’ effectiveness
Overseeing the deployment of those solutions to the production environments
Occasional travel may be required
Critical Selection Criteria:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or Business, Finance and Accounting
2-3 years of SAP Finance application operations support and/or project implementation experience
Experience in ERP code development and other programming language
Good foundation in ITSM and Agile processes and tools a plus
Solid analytical and problem solving skills
Strong communication skills, both oral and written
Excellent customer focus and results-orientation
Experience in global team collaboration, in a multi-cultural IT support model environment
