Facilities Technician Ii

Responsible primarily for the operation and maintenance of Facilities equipment such as air conditioning system (HVAC), generators, chillers, dust collector, air compressors, fire protection system, water treatment systems like cooling towers and uninterruptible power system (UPS). Handles broader project scopes.
Performs analysis and deeper troubleshooting techniques with sophisticated equipment.
Performs basic maintenance activities such as lubrication, cleaning and adjustment of all equipment not covered under the existing maintenance agreement with vendor.
Performs weekly test runs of standby generator set, fire pumps and jockey pumps;
Performs weekly and monthly inspection of Fire Protection system - valve inspection, sprinklers, smoke detectors, and fire extinguishers.
Performs safety inspections in coordination with the EHS Officer.
Performs periodic testing of equipment grounding and other testing-related requirements of production.
Monitors and checks plant utilities such as energy and water usage, gas and compressed air systems.
Monitors plant’s operating conditions - temperature, humidity and other parameters.
Assists contractors in carrying out installation, inspection or other scheduled maintenance works on equipment or projects.
Performs routine maintenance activities such as ballast and lamp replacement, cleaning of dust collector filters, bearing replacement for small motors, filter replacement for fan coil units (FCU’s) and general maintenance of kitchen equipment and ventilation systems.
Leads other technicians with projects or tasks.
Degree in Electro-mechanical/Electronic Technology or equivalent discipline.
Possesses 3 to 5 years experience as Facilities technician or equivalent work exposure.
Knowledge and experience in operations and maintenance of Facilities equipments such as generators, air compressors, chillers, dust collectors, fire protection systems, air conditioning system.
Knowledge of basic PLC programming, electrical controls, equipment control diagrams interpretation
Effective verbal and communication skills.
