This Vision is brought to life by our Values - Care, Respect, Integrity, Performance and Teamwork - which put our people, host communities, the environment and our stakeholders at the forefront of our decision-making.Check us out - www.oceanagold.comJob DescriptionSeeking two (2) suitably qualified, experienced, and reliable Environment Officer on aFixed Termemployment to provide active assistance during the tree cutting process, hauling, and piling of logs, transportation, and preparation of terminal report, achieving STCEP targets of Didipio Mine and other related compliance of STCEP such as monitoring and validation of tree replacement activities. The role will report to the Environment Supervisor.Key tasks and responsibilities:Monitor tree cutting and log scaling activitiesAssist in securing log transport permits and deliveries, preparing and finalizing progress and terminal reports for STCEP and other related regulatory reports and conduct pre-cutting activities related to ex-situ and in-situ conservationMonitor STCEP tree replacement complianceProvide active and direct inputs in impact assessments to identify, assess and reduce the organization's environmental risks and impacts and recommends corrective actions related to environmental monitoring, assessment, research, and studiesProvide active assistance in ensuring compliance with local environmental regulatory rules and regulations and OGC standards and requirements related to STCEP and its complianceEnsuring good relationships with regulators such as DENR, MGB, EMB, and FMB, among othersProvide active and direct inputs in ensuring the timely preparation and submission of the project comprehensive Environmental Protection and Enhancement Program (EPEP) and Final Mine Rehabilitation and/or Decommissioning Plan (FMRDP) to MGB related to environmental monitoring, assessment, research, and studies, and environmental laboratory operation programsQualificationsBehaviour consistent with OceanaGold Corp.
