Electrical Engineer

THE OPPORTUNITY: • As a Sr. Electrical Engineer supporting large scale operating facilities, you will contribute your expertise gained through many years of hands on experience to:
o Trouble shooting
o Operational support
o Creating/improving efficiencies
o Maximizing plant uptime
o Contributing to the overall sustainability of the Horizon Oil Sands plant
• Interact with cross functional business units including Maintenance, Operations and Projects teams to ensure all business areas are working towards a common goal

• Ensure maintenance and reliability requirements have been addressed for repairs, plant changes and major equipment purchases
• Lead and initiate recommendations on small plant replacement, improvement and modification projects
• Increase accountability in overseeing small capital projects, budget preparation and implementation of Management of Change initiatives
• Generate reports and recommendations in conjunction with maintenance specialists and inspectors
• Perform project-related tasks such as the following:
o Bid package preparation and review for Engineering Procurement Construction phases
o Conceptual design
o Development of project design standards and specifications; equipment data sheets and plant layouts
