Role & responsibilities Lead, Drive, and Administered in overall compliance in environmental, health, and safety standards of the organization and that of the government requirements. Ensure up to date in regulatory regulations which pertains to EHS. Initiate, execute and Drive EHS strategical plan for the site. Establish and develop teams for driving EHS improvements and managing EHS programs, including site safety and environmental committees; energy teams, and; behavior safety teams. Create a training plan and execute accordingly that is related to EHS A subject matter expert in the field of EHS which includes and not limited to training the whole organization. Communicate with all levels in the organization on EHS to engage with, influence, and motivate the Plant Manager, managers, supervisors and employees. Drive EHS initiatives to achieve the organizations goals and strategy. Audit and evaluate the performance of the EHS management system. Create and drive action plans to implement identified corrective actions. Ability to identify significant risk of safety, health and environmental. Establish systems for monitoring and auditing EHS performance throughout the organization and provide timely, action-oriented reports to management to ensure appropriate progress is maintained towards achieving the organizations goals and strategy; and compliance with organizations policies, specifications, and EHS legislation. Establish and implement monitoring procedures for changes in EHS legislation applicable to the organization and ensure the EHS management system is up to date to ensure compliance. Experience on chemical management, wastewater treatment, hazardous waste compliance, etc. Contractor and construction management Incident investigations People Management & Development for EHS team and EHS committee Preferred candidate profile Bachelor Degree in safety, environmental, chemical, engineering or relevant. 10+ years experience as and practitioner in the field of Environmental Health and Safety 3+ years of managerial experience in leading a team Experience in Risk Management & Investigation Special Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills : License and certified practitioner in the country. Wide exposure in facility engineering.
Other important things to note: Broad knowledge of government rules and regulations in handling environment, health, and safety.
