Delivery Driver

Qualifications:
At least 2-5 years of experience.
At least high school graduate.
Valid Driver’s License (1-2-3)
Can work under minimum supervision.
Good communication skills (oral & written).
Job Description
Assists in loading goods on the truck and ensure that they are stacked and secured properly.
Takes inventory of loaded goods in order to make sure that the correct quantity is loaded.
Ensures that any damaged products are reported and documented properly.
Secures the back of the truck properly before setting off.
Transports goods over long distances; check on cargo at every stop during the long haul.
Makes sure that the truck is in proper working condition before setting off.
Performs regular and preventative maintenance on the truck prior to setting off.
Checks tire pressure and ensure that there is enough fuel.
Performs any repairs that may need to be carried out especially during roadside emergency.
Plans out the best route which is time and fuel efficient.
Ensures that all documentation pertaining to travelling is in order.
Records freight information along with distance travelled and fuel consumption.
Ensures that goods are delivered to the right destination.
Assists with unloading goods and ensures quantity checks.
Obtains signatures from the party to whom the goods have been delivered to.
