JOB SUMMARY
As a part of the Enterprise IT team, you will work on analysis and reporting to enhance customer experience, improve service-delivery effectiveness and increase customer satisfaction. You’ll have the opportunity to leverage your analytic abilities and influence key stakeholders across our EIT team. This is a great opportunity for analytical self-starter who likes to work independently and is passionate about data driven business decisions.
The Data Scientist's primary responsibilities are to develop data sources and tools to enable monitoring and analysis of business trends. Additionally, you'll manage and develop reports and business models that could impact and drive business decisions.
This is a Manila-based opportunity to work with a global IT team, with locations spanning the world.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Partner with EIT Teams to develop metrics, dashboard/scorecard/reports for insights and data visualization
Develop KPI reporting for continuous-improvement initiatives
Interpreting data, analyzing results in complex data sets using statistical techniques
Understanding, demonstrating, and communicating the impact of data analysis and results on business impacts and business drivers.
Perform strategic analysis of business problems to identify and evaluate options/alternatives
To improve the capability of all teams in our Product and Technology organization to understand and act upon what’s going on in their own areas with reporting “toolkits” and dashboard templates
Research, understand and develop use cases, then implement a set of reports that can be easily modified and consumed by multiple teams
To provide visibility to engineering groups of what’s happening in the ticket life cycle i.e. L1 / L2 volume and variety of work, and changing trends over time
To expose the end-to-end paths followed as tickets cross multiple teams i.e.
Avoiding tickets falling through the cracks and not getting attention
Tracking and improving SLAs of work done by various teams
Understanding the most common user journeys through our IT support system, including GSD, Traveler Services Support, Field IT, EIT engineering, and elsewhere within Products & Technology
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s/College Degree in a STEM discipline (e.g. computer science, statistics, applied mathematics), or equivalent experience.
Knowledge
* Proficiency with Excel/Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, ThoughtSpot or similar business intelligence (BI) systems
* Experience working with advanced analytics/data science tools such as Python, R, RapidMiner, KNIME, Weka, MATLAB, SAS, SPSS, etc
* Proficiency with query languages/tools like SQL
Familiarity with descriptive statistics
Could Haves or an Advantage
· Prefer one of:
o Advanced statistics/machine learning experience (e.g. lean Six Sigma, Bayesian statistics, logistic regression, cluster analysis, non-parametric methods, time series forecasting, natural-language processing)
o Software development in high-level languages (e.g. Python, R, JavaScript, Ruby, Bash, PowerShell).
· Familiarity with reporting and data access from ServiceNow and/or Avaya
· Experience working with variety and complexity of data (relational databases, unstructured data environment)
Proficient on data models, database design, data mining and segmentation techniques.
Skills

· Eye for detail, accuracy and creativity. Ability to connect disparate information, storytelling to explain marketing insight
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Fluent English, written and oral.
