Your Role and Responsibilities
Designs and builds solutions to move data from operational and external environments to the business intelligence environment using Ab Initio software and DataStage (formerly Ascential) - IBM's WebSphere Data Integration Suite. Skills include designing and developing extract, transform and load (ETL) processes. Experience includes full lifecycle implementation of the technical components of a business intelligence solution. Skills include: ETL, DataStage.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Solid years of Data experience (ETL, Modeling, Visualization)
Proven expertise in industry data warehousing practices
Intermediate to advanced level SQL skills
Understanding of Data movement and experience with at least one industry tool
Experience with a reporting tool/s
Standards/guidelines for ERIP
Proficient in ETLData needs to be maintained in its raw form
Needs to have quality controls built into process
Processes built using Java or Python
Automated using Control-M
Good knowledge in DataStageUse reusable extract jobs where possible
Try to keep all transformation logic on the ETL server
Exposure to DDLC
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Background in Big Data Hadoop and Rest API is an advantage
