Job summary
The Corporate Travel Coordinator and Bookkeeper role is responsible for arranging and managing the company's travel needs.They ensure that travel expenditures are optimized and travelers reach their destinations on time and within budget.This position requires fluency in English and familiarity with booking travel within the US and international destinations.
Job seniority: mid-to-senior level
Responsibilities
• Cost-effectively arrange, manage, and supervise the company's travel needs in accordance with corporate travel policy.• Obtain necessary approvals and communicate itineraries to employees and supervisors.• Maintain accurate travel calendars and ensure all necessary documentation is completed.• Resolve scheduling conflicts and address any issues with travel or accommodations.• Negotiate and manage contracts with travel service providers.• Track marketing expenses and enter them accurately into QuickBooks.• Reconcile expense receipts in accordance with company accounting policies.• Suggest improvements and innovation in travel programs.
Requirements
• 3+ years' experience in a travel agency or large corporate travel department preferred.• Fluency in written and spoken English.• Familiarity with booking travel within the US and major US cities and airports.• Understanding of time zones.• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with negotiation skills.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Microsoft Outlook calendaring.• Knowledge of Concur Expense Management and Travel system a major plus.• Knowledge of Quickbooks a plus.• Experience booking travel with Internet Travel sites and directly on US Airline and hotel websites.
