The role will report to the Supervisor - Process Operations.Key tasks and responsibilities:Achieve plant production and utilization targetOperate any section of the plant in accordance with metallurgical guidelines and given set of operating parameters through Distributed Control System (DCS)Operate plant in ranges set and following directives givenAssist in mill shutdowns, mechanical, electrical and metallurgical activities if required or directed by the supervisorEnsure that the products produced under their supervision meet all specification set by the MetallurgyMaintain detailed reports of operation completing and updating log sheets, logbooks, and checklists accurately and on time each shiftReport to supervisor any damage equipment or at-risk situation that could lead to plant shutdownAttend functional trainings and development programsComplete all required Standard Operating Procedures Sign-OffCross training to other areas of the processing plant if directed by the supervisorTake the area competency assessment as required for the operator progression programQualificationsBehaviour consistent with OceanaGold Corp.
