Construction Manager

Conduct the planning and set the construction execution methodology for the project construction phase
Develop the Construction Work Area Packs for the site
Manage the project establishment, site mobilisation and demobilisation activities
Establish and monitor the construction program, including variations and changes, to meet the planned completion date
Coordinate and communicate the construction performance requirements to ensure project objectives are realised
Participate in internal and client construction meetings
Clearly identify site resources required for the effective completion of the construction phase considerate of the Mining Charter and BBBEE requirements of the project
Manage and lead the construction team effectively
Manage and coordinate the sub-contractors program, progress and productivity to ensue planned completion date is met.
Identify and manage the head and sub-contracts for compliance and ensure the Project Manager is kept informed of any issues
Identify and manage change to the Head Contract and sub-contracts from a construction perspective
Carry out inspection of construction works to achieve the quality identified in project criteria, standards and specifications.
Recognised tertiary or technical trade.
Registered as PR CM with SACPCMP
Experience managing contractors and sub-contractors in an EPC environment on a mining or mineral processing construction project
Minimum 10 years site construction management experience in a project environment with familiarity in project management practices.
The ability to work on site is a pre-requisite for this position
