Key Responsibilities1. Legal Support- Provide legal support in terms of corporate secretariat, legal advisory, contract review and contract drafting in relation to strategic initiatives of the company as well as its subsidiaries and related companies- Coordinate with government agencies to attend to special legal requirements/needs of the various departments- Render legal opinion, draft/review contracts to support operations of other departments- Attend legislative and administrative hearings and consultations2. Compliance Support- Data Privacy- Act as Data Protection Officer of the company.- Monitor the company's compliance with the DPA, issuances of the NPC, and other privacy laws, such as but not limited to the GDPR and privacy-related provisions in the issuances of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Insurance Commission and other relevant regulators.- Develop, implement, review and audit company policies, processes and systems related to data privacy to achieve compliance with relevant regulations.Regulatory Compliance- Monitor compliance with regulations and controls by examining and analyzing records, reports, operating practices and documentation- Prepare for regulatory audit by conducting appropriate research, leading the conduct of compliance testing and supporting the management in mitigating compliance risksCompliance Testing- Conduct root cause analysis for problem solving, timely communicate potential issues to business unit leads and managers, and provide support in the mitigation of compliance risk- Validate the result of compliance testing and assist in the assessment and ranking of business process risks, using the risk-based approachSystems & Methods- Assist in policy writing and review of policies- Act as the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) Coordinator of the department- Perform other compliance functions in accordance with laws, rules and regulations, requirements of the Company, and the directive of the management.Job requirements- Has a good command of the English language, both in speaking and in writing.- Must be a graduate of Juris Doctor or Bachelor of Law- Licensed to practice law in the Philippines and must be in good standing member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines- At least 2 years experience in general law practice, corporate counseling, corporate secretariat, contracts review in any Banking/Financial and Telco industry, in a full-time capacity.- At least 2 yrs. experience in data Privacy Law, and regulatory compliance (SEC) matters.- Understanding of data processing operations, cross over between legal, IT and data security requirements- Good planning & organizing skills with good attention to details.- Ability to effectively communicate with employees from the different departments and with the senior management.**Job Details****Employment Type**Full-time**Location**Array**Department**Compliance
