JOB DESCRIPTION: AMADA/TRUMPF NC TURRET OPERATOR
DEPARTMENT: SHEET METAL
JOB TITLE: TURRET / LASER OPERATOR / TECHNICIAN
REPORT TO: MANAGER
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operates various conventional sheet metal shop equipment such as Lasers and Turret including setup and tooling loading to produce and detail a variety of small, medium and large parts, ranging from simple to complex, which are within prescribed tolerances.
Operates Computer Numerical Control (CNC) on respective equipment including AMADA and TRUMPF
Performs machine setups, adjusting and loading tooling and making changes at the controls for parts as required for specifications set forth in blueprints, drawings, engineering orders, etc.
Check parts for conformance to prescribed tolerances.
Must be a team player as measured by his/her peers.
Comply with policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements per the GCM Quality System
Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Lead or Production Supervisor.
Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions using 5S.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs tooling and machine maintenance
Interprets all types of tooling and fixturing requests, converting them to sketches and fabricating them using various machines as required.
Gives advise and assistance to other operators in the operation of machinery and equipment
Other projects as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
1 to 2 years of Sheet Metal Manufacturing.
Diploma / Certificate in Mechanical Engineering/ Industrial / Electronics Engineering or equivalent
At least 2 years of working experience in the related field.
