We are looking for a CloudOps Lead (AWS / Windows / Linux)-REMOTE to join our team to support the FM&C infrastructure team assisting multiple ASA-FM&C cloud systems involving Microsoft, Linux, and various cloud native services hosted in AWS. This position is remote but the candidate must live in the National Capital Region.
Your day-to-day work will include: Creating, maintaining, and monitoring AWS accounts in the cARMY environment.Providing cloud and administrative support to system implementation teams and coordinates higher level changes across cARMY teams.Providing consistent and reliable cloud ops support.Oversight of the team, technical direction, and will report on all infrastructure activities to the customer and stakeholders.Supporting system deployments to multipls environments (DEV, TEST, PROD, and more)Using Terraform or CloudFormation scripts to manage cloud infrastructure for each system.TTP (Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures) Documentation for work in cARMY ConfluenceMaintaining high level architecture diagrams and documentation for systems in cARMYTracking infrastructure change requests for FM&C cloud systems in cARMY JiraWorking with Cybersecurity team to document and maintain security requirements.Using system dashboards to visualize system health and performance using CloudWatch LogsSetup and maintaining a Daily Infrastructure Standup MeetingSetup and managing a scrum or kanban board for tracking Infrastructure work.Monthly Infrastructure overview / statusCloud spends tracking, optimization, and reporting.At a minimum you should have: Must live in the National Capital Region.10+ years of hands on CloudOps / DevSecOps / IT Administration technical experience5+ years Amazon Web Services (AWS) proficiency: ECS (Fargate) or EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, State Machines / Step Functions, EventBridge, CloudWatch, IAM, Developer Tools (Code Commit, Code Build, Code Deploy, Code Pipeline)5+ years' experience with containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes5+ years' experience creating/maintaining CI/CD pipelines: Building, Testing, and Deploying5+ years' experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code): TerraformExperience with deploying/maintaining Microsoft based applications (.NET, IIS, SQL Server)Experience with deploying/maintaining Linux based applications (RHEL, Apache, HAProxy, PostreSQL)Experience with an API Gateway (such as Kong, Tyk, Apigee, etc)Experience deploying/maintaining some or all the following application types: Angular, Node.js, Java (Spring Boot)Understanding of various authentication methods: PKI, OAuth, LDAP, SAML, etcUnderstanding of TLS/SSL including PKI Certificates (CAC, PIV, etc.)Understanding of high availability and scalability techniques at the app, API, and data tiers including concepts such as sharding.Currently possesses or can obtain required certifications within 2 months of employment: CompTIA Security+ and CompTIA Linux+ (or other approved Computing Environment certification)Experience with Agile projects and development including Agile tools such as JIRA.Proficiency with Windows Operating SystemsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently (as if on an island) with clients, but also be a consummate team player.Active SECRET clearance.You will be highly desirable if you have: Familiarity with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) information security requirements, standards, and best practicesKnowledge/expertise in DOD Cybersecurity Policy DoDI 8500.01Experience deploying applications in DoD or other accredited federal environments that require IA certification and accreditation to deploy.Experience with securing sensitive data (including security marking standards such as DoD Banner Lines or ISM)Ability to rapidly code proof of concepts to help with analysis of alternatives (should be a person who can code in mixed environments) and prove out ideas.**This job description is subject to change at any time. Estimated Salary Range: $115,000 - $145,000
