1. Greet customers then find out what they want/ need2. Recommend products based on customer needs3. Motivate customers to buy by describing the product uses and benefits4. Encourage customers to buy additional or higher-quality products, known as cross-selling and upselling5. Explain business policies, such as discounts, warranties, and return limits6. Assist customers with purchase completion7. Build customer loyalty by offering incentives like loyalty program membership, coupons, or branded credit cards8. Maintain sales and inventory records9.
