Details of the offer

The Opportunity Plan Philippines will grow and diversify its sources of income over the next five years. The Business Development Manager is needed to support this while assisting the Country Office in Philippines to develop a strong professional image among Plan donors so that additional grant funding is acquired to grow and support Plan’s programmes in the Philippines.

This position is responsible for leading Plan Philippines in securing the resources required to operationalize Plan Philippines’ Country Strategic Plan (CSP).

This will be achieved through:

- Supporting the growth of grants of Plan Philippines, by maximizing opportunities within and outside the country, in collaboration with the appropriate teams within Plan Philippines and Plan’s National Organizations (NO)

- Harnessing and managing relationships with donors, local missions, private entities and corporate foundations and NOs and

- Ensuring compliance for both financial and operational requirements (including reporting) of grant-funded projects.

In addition, the Program Development and Grants Manager (PD&G) ensures that the development and execution of partnership agreements and contracts relating to grant-funded programs/projects are consistent with donor contracts and donor compliance requirements. The PD&G Manager supports and manages work unit personnel and provides oversight to the day-to-day function of the work unit.

Do you have what it takes?

- Ensure Plan Philippines reaches its funding targets.

- Providing capacity building to Business Development team

- Revise and update resource mobilization strategy

- Expanding donor portfolio development in Myanmar with institutional and corporate donors.

- Proactively work with National Organization (NO) counterparts to identify and develop appropriate grant opportunities.

- Oversee and coordinate the development, writing and packaging of grant proposals from concept through to award.

- Manage internal Funding Bundle Agreement Document (FAD) process.

- Negotiate and review the donor requirements prior acceptance of grant.

- Ensure adequate documentation is maintained and updated as required to facilitate monitoring of the progress of grant.

- Monitor financial reports and budget allocations in compliance with donor grant agreements.

- Update monthly grants tracking matrix and GPMT Tools.

- Develop and update grant risk register.

- Member of Country Management Team.

- Support proposal development of both development and humanitarian initiatives

- Ensure gender transformative design of all interventions

- Have relevant knowledge of and experience in working with corporate, bilateral and multilateral donors

- Has substantial experience with the NGO/development sector with knowledge of gender-transformative programming

- Proficiency in business planning, project/program development, budgeting and reporting with various donors.

- Experience in working with children and communities on child-rights and gender-transformative program and projects

- Fluency English (written and spoken).

- Able to travel and work within the country. The role may be required to coordinate with several program areas within the Philippines.

- Applicants must have the right to work in the Philippines without restrictions.

- At least five years’ work experience in the development sector, specific to program development, resource mobilization and grants management.
