Reports to Marubeni Asian Power Philippines management and shall be performing the following functions:1) Lead project and business development, operations, strategic planning, partnerships, and all other necessary activities in relation to project development and operation or asset-management of power projects (i.e. generation, distribution, trading, etc.) in the Philippines.- Identify and establish relationships with stakeholders within the industry that would lead to new project opportunities (i.e. green field projects or mergers/acquisitions of brown field projects), distribution, retail and new business with emerging technologies.- Collaborate with domestic and international counterparts to formulate and execute action/tasks to maximize rewards and mitigate risks.- Lead and conduct comprehensive due diligence (legal, financial, commercial and technical studies) of new/emerging projects with consultants and advisors government agencies (i.e. DOE, LGU, DENR, etc.).- Negotiate and execute project relevant agreements with third parties, including but not limited to, Shareholders' Agreement, Loan Agreement, EPC Agreement, O&M Agreement, Offtake Agreement, Fuel Supply Agreement, Share Purchase Agreement, Land Lease/Purchase Agreement, etc.- Evaluate and optimize financial models to maximize project returns.2) Manage the business development team and implement strategies to achieve goals and objectives.- Provide leadership and guidance to team members and mentor team members to ensure high levels of engagement, productivity, and performance.- Develop and manage budgets and forecasts for the power development.- Collaborate and communicate with domestic and international counterparts, consultants, advisors (including those within the Marubeni Group) to ensure that assigned tasks are being completed on a timely basis.- Continuously monitor existing and new regulations, circulars, and laws that may affect the industry to identify new opportunities and ensure compliance.3) Lead communication and coordination with stakeholders, including the Department of Energy (DOE), Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC), National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Local Government Units (LGU), among others, and with project partners/sponsors.4) Continuously monitor existing and new regulations, circulars, and laws that may affect the industry or new and existing projects.QUALIFICATIONS:• At least 5 years of proven experience in areas of power project development, operations, and strategic planning in the Philippines.• Knowledgeable of relevant regulatory frameworks of the power industry in the Philippines.• Must know how to use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.• Ability to work in English and Tagalog• High level of motivation to learn and grow in the role
