Business Analyst

Overall Purpose of the Role: Business Analyst responsibilities include review, analyze and evaluate and user needs. Document requirements, define scope and objectives and formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies. Key Responsibilities: Determine objectives by studying product functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formatsConstruct workflow charts and diagrams; studying product capabilities; writing specificationsImprove product by studying current practices; designing modificationsRecommend controls by identifying problems; writing improved proceduresDefine project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases and elements; forming project team; establishing project budgetMonitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actionsPrepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trendsContribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededValidate resource requirements and develop cost estimate modelsInterpret, evaluate and interrelate research data and develop integrated business analyses and projections for incorporation into strategic decision-makingPerform daily, weekly and monthly reviews and analyses of current products using metrics and reportsUnderstand and communicate the impact of any changesSuggest changes to senior management using analytics to support your recommendations. Actively participate in the implementation of approved changesCreate informative, actionable and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant product trends and opportunities for improvement Qualifications: 5+ years proven work experience as a Business Analyst or similar roleUnderstanding of full product life cycleExcellent skills in reporting, Python and SQL data skillsData analysis relating to app and web performanceGood knowledge of project management skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsLeadership abilitiesDegree in Computer Science, Information Science, Business, Science, Math or relevant fieldCertification in Business Analysis (IIBA, PMI)Certification in Project Management (PMP, CAPM)Other desirable skills such as: Visio, Web Analytics, SQL, New Relic, Data Dog, Python, Prince 2, ScrumMaster
