Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Billing Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing processes. The Billing Specialist will be responsible for executing billing activities, resolving billing discrepancies, and maintaining effective communication with internal teams and clients.
Duties and Responsibilities: Generate and issue accurate and timely customer invoices. Verify and reconcile billing data to ensure completeness and accuracy. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to obtain necessary billing information. Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or issues. Work closely with internal departments to address and rectify billing errors promptly. Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries related to billing. Collaborate with the sales team to ensure accurate invoicing based on contractual terms. Maintain organized and up-to-date billing records and documentation. Assist in the development and implementation of efficient billing processes. Analyze billing data to identify trends and recommend process improvements. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. Billing (or related) background with at least 3 years experience - advantage if background at hi-tech SAAS companies. Strong understanding of billing processes and financial principles. Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. Proficient in using billing software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Previous experience with Zuora, Salesforce, and Netsuite - a major advantage. High level of quality awareness, accuracy, and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and work well in a fast-paced environment. Problem-solving attitude. Willingness to take on ad hoc projects.
