Big Data Specialist

Job Description :DUTIES & AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the service operations of all data platforms and relevant systems covered by OLAs and the day to day operations of EDO. The specialist is accountable for managing and maintaining the production environment in line with SLAs, and he/she adheres to established SLAs and OLAs while carrying out responsibilities.
Create, maintain, and manage the daily production schedule across all platforms. This includes the prioritization and resolution of issues or change requests and additional month/quarter-end activities.
Create and maintain operational, compliance, regulatory, and control documentation.
Ensure storage management activities and secure back-up procedures are completed and followed.
Administrate and maintain operational security through reporting and communication of security breaches.
Ensure service provision in line with existing and new or amended OLAs that result from new services.
Provide input to review of operations and service level agreement reviews.
Ensure fulfillment of standard work requests
Accountable for data collection and reporting
Liaise with vendor partners and business users where needed
Identify problem trends and mobilize suitable support for investigation.

REQUIREMENTSAt least 2 years of Data Warehouse technical production support experience using Extract, Transform, Load (ETL)
At least 2 years with Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) tool experience, SQL, reports development (prefer Tableau background).
At least 2 years of experience with enterprise scheduling tools
At least 2 years with Business Process Management skills
1 year of experience with Big Data Hadoop and Teradata
