The Associate Manager of Advanced Analytics is responsible for analyzing customer behavior and building high-quality predictive and prescriptive analytical solutions. These solutions will drive business decisions and outcomes across Global Marketing in the areas of Dynamic Reward night pricing, Guest satisfaction, Measurement methodologies, Customer Lifetime value and various customer propensity scores for personalized marketing. The Associate Manager of Advanced Analytics is also responsible for managing junior resources.
Key Accountabilities Address complex business problems using analytics, data science and visualization techniques to drive insight and data-driven decision making. Apply statistical and mathematical knowledge, tools, and techniques to analyze data, find relationship between variables, deliver insights, and recommend action. Develop and implement advanced analytics models and algorithms to solve complex business problems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and identify opportunities for leveraging predictive modeling to drive business solutions Oversee the data collection, modeling and analysis processes and ensure best practices for model development & productionizing are leveraged. Communicate complex quantitative analyses in a clear, precise, and actionable manner to senior executives and non-technical stakeholders. Stay informed on the latest advancements in Analytics and Data Science space, finding ways to deliver value by applying and customizing these to our specific problem space. Participate in the continuous improvement of data science and analytics by developing replicable solutions. Guide and mentor junior resources in development of business knowledge and technical skills. Education and Experience Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a closely related quantitative field with 5 or more years of progressive work experience in analytics; or Master degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics or a related field with 3 or more years of progressive work experience in analytics. Technical Skills and Knowledge Excellent knowledge of machine learning techniques and algorithms Excellent analytical, problem solving and collaborative skills Ability to communicate complex data/analyses in a simple, actionable way Proficiency in data science tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, and R Excellent understanding of data architecture, data platforms, and data processing frameworks Experience working in one of the major cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure etc.) Proficient with data warehouse DBMS like Teradata and Google BigQuery Expertise with data visualization tools like Tableau Applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
