Job Description
The School of Nursing at The University of Texas at Tyler invites qualified applicants with a program of research/scholarship focused on health promotion or rural/ underserved to apply for a full-time, tenure-track, assistant/associate professor faculty position at rank and salary commensurate with experience to begin fall 2020. This is a 9-month academic appointment, with a possible summer stipend. Review of applications will begin immediately, and the position will remain open until filled.
Essential Functions
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Primary teaching responsibility in a nationally recognized online graduate nursing program and highly successful BSN program.
Maintaining an active program of scholarship.
Mentoring and advising students.
Participating in College and University service.

Required Qualifications
Earned Doctorate in Nursing.
Eligible for licensure in Texas.
Evidence of program of scholarship.

Additional Information
The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length. This position has the option to elect the Optional Retirement Program (ORP) instead of TRS, subject to the position being 40 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
