App & Web Developer

We are proud to offer an opportunity to join a new start-up developing the latest technology for the sharing economy. We are looking to hire our first developer to take ownership of an app that is already 90% built. The developer will have the responsibility of continuing to optimise and improve on the current app and continue to build on our app suite.

This is a great opportunity for someone to take charge and lead the technology development of a company with over 500,000 followers across our social media channels.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Collaborating with management, departments and customers to identify end-user requirements and specifications
Designing algorithms and flowcharts to create new software programs and systems
Producing efficient and elegant code based on requirements
Testing and deploying programs and applications
Troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining and improving existing software
Compiling and assessing user feedback to improve software performance
Observing user feedback to recommend improvements to existing software products
Developing technical documentation to guide future software development projects

Must be English proficient and be confident in suggesting and making decisions.

More information: Our web app was developed in MEAN stack (Node js and Angular js). The mobile app was developed with React Native. All the front-ends (Web, IOS & Android apps in this case) will consume the same single back-end that will be written in Node Js (Using Express or Sails framework). The back-end will be exposed through REST APIs with the appropriate authentication/permissions.
