Analyst, Investment Portfolio Accounting

Performs daily position market value/price validation to ensure all positions have correct market value & accurate portfolio calculation, including working closely with various upstream teams to resolve valuation issues.
Ensures accuracy of ABOR entries, conducts assessment of materiality based on established thresholds and perform the coordination with downstream stakeholders for appropriate action
Performs validations of all Ad hoc & Monthly Distributions & Reinvestments for all funds
Identifies and monitors differences and anomalies in Fund-on-Fund transactions and performs necessary investigation and ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
Ensure clear and concise process documentation is created and maintained.
Remain updated with relevant securities industry development and market-specific best practices.
Provide support to the team as required, including participation in a regular program of industry specific training and interdepartmental cross training to ensure continuity of service.
Identifies opportunities to leverage system capabilities in order to meet business requirements
Provide assistance on projects – to meet Management requirements by doing research, identifying needs, and developing/implementing solutions.
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree , Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
At least 3 year(s) of working experience in Professional Accounting, preferred.
First-hand knowledge of Investment applications/Accounting Book of Record (ABOR) and Microsoft Office suite;
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and individually;
Eager to build strong relationships with internal departments Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy;
Ability to react quickly and meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and thoroughness
Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
Experience in fund accounting or investment administration is an asset;
Knowledge of and experience with securities instruments/settlement, foreign exchange, reconciliation, derivatives/investment accounting and Fund reporting is an asset.
