Job Description:
Person is responsible of managing accounts receivable from third party customers which includes cash application of customer payments.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform daily cash application for the 3rd party customer payments
Ensure completeness, accuracy and timeliness of transaction postings within 2 days upon receipt of customer payment details; 100% application at month end.
Work closely with local Customer Issue Resolution team and finance team on issue resolution of customer payment details not provided on time
Perform the month end close activities for Accounts Receivable - preparation for manual journal entries
preparation of AR Provision/Allowance
preparation of AR Aging Report
provide analysis and commentaries on account balances during FS review and balance sheet review calls
Ensure compliance to global financial standards and internal controls specific to AR Process
Ensure the performance meets KPIs and continuously improve productivity and service quality
Perform mid-month close process and analysis of AR and Sales Accounts
Responsible for timely balance sheet account reconciliation
Engage in ad-hoc activities such as internal/external audit, tax audit, etc
Maintain SOPs and other related documents (Creation of SOP-JP)
REQUIREMENTS:
Basic Qualifications:
Accounting degree and working experience in Finance and Accounting area.
Solid financial accounting and internal control knowledge are required.
Experience in Account Receivable is required
Experience in Shared Service Center for multi-national corporation is preferred
Knowledge in English, and Japanese (Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking Skills are necessary/required for this role).
JLPT N1/N2 Certification is preferred
Skills:
Working knowledge of SAP
Ability to learn legacy system (AS/400, PeopleSoft, etc)
Flexible for new assignment and willingness to learn.
Cross functional and cultural communication skill
Detailed oriented and enjoys working with operational processes
Highly client service and quality oriented mindset;
Structured approach to effectively and efficiently planning own workload
Team oriented person
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
