Accounting Trainee

Job DescriptionAccounting Trainee position aims to develop young individual to take on future available roles in the Manila Accounting and Control Department, may it be, on a temporary or permanent basis. The position offers an extensive training in the field of Accounting designed to enable the Accounting Trainee to experience the different facets of Accounting through immersing them in the different accounting competencies within HA ROHQ.Key Role Interactions:Accounting Team LeadOther Business Area Team Leads or System Owner(s)External business partners and/or suppliers, as deemed necessaryMain responsibilities:Control and book-keeping of transactions (admin expenses, agent’s disbursement, owner’s matters, bunker, canal transit, time charter, running expenses) in accordance with agreed procedure.Handle and distribute invoices thru CompelloHandle supplier’s inquiryHandle reconciliation of accounts (e.g. bank reconciliation, aging analysis) and provide recommendation for adjustmentExecute closing procedure in accordance with defined timelinePrepare relevant accounting analysis and schedulesEducation and Experience: Holds University/College degree in AccountancyHave demonstrated leadership abilities or active participation in academic, community or sports organizationsHave excellent communication skills and are team playersHave strong analytical skills and keen on detailsBe committed to developing a long-term career in the field of Accounting Skills Problem Solving and Risks AssessmentRelevant Accounting and Taxation Rules and RegulationsInterpersonal and Communication Skills Personality Honest, disciplined, organized, has a positive outlook and can work with minimal supervisionDetail oriented and analyticalHigh level of integrityGood Communication skills in an international environment
