Executive Search Firm Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting an Accounting Manager on behalf of a Food FMCG company based in Navotas, Manila. The role will directly report to the CFO and will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes. Coordinate the preparation and analysis of monthly financial reports. Support the VP for Finance/Chief Financial Officer with daily banking requirements. Ensure the prompt and accurate filing of all government-mandated taxes. Oversee the processing of accounts payables. Validate the accuracy of subsidiary ledger per business unit for assets and liabilities. Conduct monthly and quarterly bank compliance activities and reconciliations. Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities. Collaborate with other department managers to accomplish department goals and objectives. Monitor and analyze departmental work to identify and implement more efficient procedures. Provide guidance to staff on handling non-routine reporting transactions. Assist in preparing for year-end audits. Supervise the general ledger group to ensure compliance with financial reporting deadlines. Assist in developing and implementing new procedures to improve department workflow. Provide training to new and existing staff as necessary. Address personnel issues and oversee the professional development of staff. Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting with CPA license Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting and finance experience (financial analyses and reporting, statutory and regulatory compliance, etc) Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and MS Excel Strong leadership and team management abilities Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and other department managers
