Technical Safety Engineer

The Technical Safety Engineer shall be responsible for the design and preparation of safety engineering structures/facilities, such as but not limited to escape routes, emergency response and evacuation philosophies and design.
Collates, analyzes, studies, and/or reviews all relevant project documents given by the Lead Engineer/ immediate superior prior modeling.
Does dispersion, emission, and similar studies.
Designs fire and gas detection and fire-fighting systems.
Participates in HAZID, HAZOP and SIL studies.
Does Waste Management and Environment Impact Assessments / studies.
Provides end-user training, in relation to technical HSE standards.
Works regularly with discipline leads / users to complete project design and needs.
Completes documentary requirements, as necessary.
Establishes and prepares procedures and specification for projects and company standards relating to technical safety.
Performs routine checks on model through data verification and project auditing.
Maybe assigned on other duties by immediate superior within his level of competence.

Minimum Qualifications:
Engineering graduate ; with a relevant degree or certification as HSE / Safety Engineer
Proficient in interpreting design drawings.
Must be familiar with current codes and standards.
Must have excellent computer skills and familiarity with other commonly-used word processing and spreadsheet programs
Able to prepare data sheets and technical specifications of miscellaneous equipment
Knowledgeable in using Microsoft applications.

Minimum Experience:
At least five (5) years of experience in a similar function in an oil & gas, chemical, petrochemical and/or other similar industry.
