What You Will Be Responsible For
Building compelling and high-quality front-end web interfaces for desktop and mobile
Identifying opportunities for innovation within our various website-based and highly interactive customer tools
Rapidly iterating on new changes to the existing websites
Working with Product Management to develop prototypes and A/B tests
Working with peers throughout software development to devise technical solutions to meet the business needs of our customers
Communicating openly and often about status, progress, and risks
What You Will Need
A clear understanding of how your work product impacts our customers – an ownership of the quality and usability of your work
A proven ability to interpret mockups/wireframes/user stories and turn them into working webpages which are functionally rock-solid, defect-free, easy-to-use, and aesthetically pleasing
At least 5 years of deep experience coding JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
Extensive experience with client-side JavaScript frameworks, including Angular and jQuery
A very good understanding of performance optimization techniques
A very good understanding of cross-browser and device compatibility issues
A very good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
Extensive experience using code versioning tools, such as Git
A good understanding of SEO principles and how to implement them
A solid working knowledge of image authoring tools
Experience with tools such as Photoshop or Gimp
Experience with Optimizely or another A/B testing tool a plus
Experience with Universal Design and accessibility considerations for webpages
Familiarity with Google Analytics and other tagging a plus
