This role can be remote for someone living in Southeast Asia (e.g. Philippines, Singapore, Hong-Kong, et cetera) or based in one of our office locations in Manila, Philippines.

Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing in-depth analysis and support to Packet customers
Immediate point-of-contact for Packet VIPs for technical issues or concerns that are raised through tickets or VIP slack channels
Run a consistent testing with Packet platform and different integration tools
Packet’s API
Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes, and other orchestration tools
To provide training and mentorship to Packet’s Cloud Support Team
Work with Packet’s technical writer to provide a high quality technical references, wiki, and/or walkthrough
Secondary Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues with our server inventory
Participate in Data Center turn-up and server enrollment - it is very important for you to be well familiar with how Packet Platform works
Requirements:
For Singapore - Open to Singaporean or Singapore PR only
Excellent communication skills
Has a background in and passion for infrastructure - we're all about bare metal servers after all
You enjoy helping people succeed and finding ways to make it fun and easy for our users to utilize our platform
Strong customer focus and enjoys problem solving
Has been a Senior Linux Engineer or a DevOps engineer for at least five (5) years. In other words, different orchestration tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes is a walk in the park for you
Strong understanding of Linux and DevOps fundamentals, and you’ve got a passion for things around Network (e.g. Juniper and Arista switches)
Strong development background including requirement gathering, scoping, development, and operational support of tools written in Bash, Python, and Ruby on Rails
Knowledgeable and has a working experience with Software Define Storage (SDS) - Datera and Pure storage to name a few
Strong familiarity with OSI Layer, and has a good understanding around BGP (routing protocol)
Able to adapt with Packet's Core Values (see below)
Willing to work on a holiday and rotational shift
