Software Developer Job DescriptionSummaryThe Software Developer acts as the technical lead for multi-departmental projects creating solutions that meet market needs relating to architecture, implementation, testing and maintenance. The Software Developer is responsible for designing fully functioning, debugged code with required documentation that meets development goals.The candidate will be responsible for the following:Participate in planning and concept meetingsCreate and edit front and backend softwareTroubleshoot problems and errorsResearch development techniques and third-party softwareCollaborate with and aide colleaguesQualifications/Skills:Successful candidate will require the following skills/experience:Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent job experienceMinimum of 3 years as a web or mobile developerMinimum of 3 years in a technical software development roleBasic or intermediate knowledge in requirements analysis, design, coding and unit testing of scalable, distributed, web or mobile applicationsDemonstrates aptitude for learning new technologiesAbility to communicate effectively technical conceptsThe following skills are beneficial:Java EE, C#, Python or other equivalent object-oriented language experienceAngular 2+, React or other equivalent JS experienceWeb and mobile design experienceNative and cross-platform mobile technologies experience is an asset•XML / JSONIntegrating with REST APIsEcommerce experienceFamiliarity with hardware-software boundaryWorking ConditionsTravel may be requiredAbility to attend and conduct presentationsManual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripheralsOvertime as requiredLifting or moving up to 10lbs may be required
