Software Architect

Design and maintain complex and scalable enterprise-level applications in Ruby on Rails
Work with existing codebase to identify opportunities for refactoring or migration to external services
Improve scalability, service reliability, capacity, and performance
Propose, conceptualize, design, implement, and develop solutions for difficult and complex applications independently
Leverage third party APIs to build integrations with other systems
Improve the physical design of existing systems to optimize performance and/or provide self-service tooling
Participate in code review and mentoring of other team members
Requirements
At least 8 years experience as a Software Architect
At least 5 years experience in hands-on development using RoR stack
Updated with the latest RoR versions
Experience in other languages such as Java, Python or GoLang
Excellent communication and presentation skills, and comfortable in technical and board level presentations
Guide and govern development teams
Demonstrable understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
Knowledge of architectural frameworks and best practices
Experienced with Enterprise Integration Patterns and Frameworks
Have broad, operational knowledge of application servers, databases, load balancers and other infrastructure components required to deploy web applications in a highly available and scalable environment
Define, refine and ensure implementations meet Non-Functional Requirements
Should have an active GitHub profile
