Who we are looking for
We are looking for someone who loves problem solving, and has a genuine interest in websites. Working with a team of developers you will help us deliver website and web applications, and help with the development of our new SAAS product.
More about the role
You are a key player in our team and take that responsibility to heart. You will be responsible for developing custom features for our client projects, ensuring quality and objective problem solving are always in focus.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be working very closely with our Project Managers and Developers and other specialists.
You'll also be working on our own SAAS product using a modern tech stack including our React, with a microservices based backend written predominately in PHP. We're focused on releasing a product that our customers love to use.
Role responsibilities
Develop new custom features across the entire organisation working across PHP (Symfony) and WordPress.
Develop web services and integration using REST API.
Write high quality source code to complete requirements within deadlines.
Working with our Project Managers you will help to find a solution for our clients.
Engage with clients in collaboration with the project team to understand technical needs and solutions.
Contribute to our team's continuous improvement of processes and methodologies.
Growing our team's capacity and capabilities by mentoring other developers, when required.
Skills & experience
You will have;
3+ years proven experience.
Solid PHP skills, and at least one other server side language
Worked with Symfony or another PHP framework
Experience and a strong understanding of Wordpress, preferred not required
Experience with API integrations
Good knowledge Javascript, CSS, and HTML
Experience with at least one modern UI framework, particularly React
Strong understanding of code management tools (ie. Git)
You understand the fundamentals of product design and user experience
Practical knowledge of security techniques and best practices
Understanding of how to build performant, decoupled, testable, maintainable code
Experience with large scale applications is also a bonus.
