Summary of Role
Provide technical support for existing information technologies and implementation of new ones, to include all end user computers, phones, on-premise voice and data network equipment and telecommunication service providers for supporting voice and data communications.
Job Responsibilities
Provides support for infrastructure and support technologies by performing routine maintenance and enhancements to existing technologies, as directed, and participating in planning for new ones.
Own problem analysis, troubleshooting, isolation, diagnosis and resolution for all communications and end user computing infrastructure in the Philippines facility, including general connectivity failures and application performance issues. Collaborate with other technical resources as necessary to provide end-to-end support of the computers and networks.
Manage multiple competing assignments to support business priorities.
Identifies and resolves technical problems and issues with assigned technical infrastructure hardware, software and work processes; escalates problems to other technical staff needed to provide end-to-end support of the computing and communications environment. Recommends improvements to existing methods or proposes new ones, to improve the quality and timeliness of technical and customer support.
Performs duties within standardized practices, where applicable.
Delivers quality and timely results while meeting or exceeding SLA’s, i.e., technical and customer support, based on company business needs and objectives.
Imparts necessary technical knowledge and skills to other technicians.
Complies with and supports all corporate, department and unit policies and procedures.
Keeps manager, project teams and business unit customers informed of activities and problems within assigned areas of responsibility. Performs other related duties as required or requested.
Knowledge and Skills
Education equivalent to graduation from college and/or related work experience.
Eight or more years of progressively more responsible experience in providing technical assistance to technical infrastructure and applications computing project teams.
An understanding of technical skills within area of responsibility and the ability to work independently.
Ability to concentrate on multiple detailed work assignments, even with distractions. Reviews work for accuracy and completeness.
Strong demonstrated analytical and problem solving abilities.
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Ability to gather and analyze facts and data and to draw correct inferences from the information. Assesses alternatives and presents logical solutions to problems.
Ability to influence events to achieve results. Originates independent action rather than passively reacting to events as they occur.
